Western is committed to training its employees on industry best practices through an in-house program. You will be exposed to a variety of aspects of the project--Business Development, Estimating, Project Management and Closeout. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Assist the Sales Department in the following tasks: 1. Meet sales objectives by developing accurate and timely estimates. 2. Keep sales cost in line with budget. 3. Participate in available product and industry seminars and training sessions to increase individual effectiveness. 4. Develop concise and accurate proposals which clearly define job content, scope, and quality standards. 5. Ensure the quality of cost estimates by communicating with appropriate branch personnel to determine the most effective procedures (costs, scheduling, methods, etc.) to successfully complete a project. 6. Follow up with the customer based upon needs (i.e., proposal, installation, future business). 7. Promote Western’s Product/Service to new and existing customers according to Branch business plan. 8. Be responsible that ethical business conduct is maintained within the operation. 9. Prepare shop drawings and submittals. 10. Solicit pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, etc. 11. Build and maintain customer relationships by proactive bidding and identifying alternative methods. 12. Manage all aspects of project to include personnel and materials. 13. Write prime and subcontracts. 14. Secure bonds required for projects. 15. Prepare monthly billings, assist in collections. 16. Prepare quarterly sales forecasts. REQUIREMENTS: • Must have at least 5 years sales and/or project management experience in commercial construction. • Must have at least 5 years commercial estimating experience in concrete and/or masonry • High school diploma or equivalent. • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. • General construction experience in the general contracting industry • Hands-on experience in production/sales in the concrete & masonry repair industry(s) • Strong written and verbal communication skills
